It shines when generating infrastructure-aware code, explaining AWS APIs, and fitting into organizations standardized on Amazon’s cloud. As a Cursor alternative for general application development it is a watch: capable, improving, and sometimes required by AWS-centric procurement, yet not the leading agentic editor experience for polyglot product teams. Use it when AWS alignment is the constraint; do not pick it solely to win a greenfield AI IDE bake-off against Cursor or Windsurf unless your code lives in AWS patterns all day.
